A New Year's Eve wedding, what a good idea, everyone has the next day off, all your friends and loved ones are with you and no New Year's Eve wedding is an anti climax....it is the start of new beginnings for the married couple, with their plans and aspirations for the year ahead as they make their way into the New Year as a married couple.
I love getting photos from my bridal clients and I received some from my New Year's Eve bride Liz. Liz also wrote an wonderful review on my Facebook page too which I will share with you below.
"I found Hannah whilst looking for a professional make up artist for my New Year's Eve wedding. The fact she had recently received the Regional Makeup Artist of ...the Year award, was a bonus.
At the time of my wedding trial with Hannah 3 months before my wedding, I had a flare up of eczema. I'm so glad I had enough time before the big day, as Hannah was wonderful in educating me and suggesting a new moisturising routine to get my skin looking it's best for the big day...and it truly worked!
Not only was I very impressed with my make up, but most of all I was thankful that Hannah kept in touch with me before the wedding providing many speedy answers and recommendations to my beauty questions, as well as a personalised timetable of the morning.
On the day, Hannah arrived bright and early...(and happy) at 6am to set up her impressive lighting and very CLEAN! kit for the morning; completing make up for me, my 3 bridesmaids, mum and aunt. She did a fabulous job. Her punctuality was second to none, she finished on time as she stated, which allowed us to have time to relax and have pictures before getting ready.
Not only is Hannah a very talented make up artist, she is a very calming and lovely person to have around when the madness is going on around you. When your getting your make up done by Hannah, you are in your own little bubble, she is genuinely interested in ensuring you have a wonderful experience.
I loved my wedding make up and so happy it stayed in place all day. I can't recommend Hannah enough to all the brides to be! Thanks again, Liz xx"
On Liz's wedding morning I arrived early to set up, I then started making up Liz's family, her aunt and then her mother. I moved onto one of Liz's oldest friends who was her bridesmaid. Liz's personal hairdresser Montre from Hob Saloons soon arrived armed with his hairspray and bobby pins and created beautiful Chignons designs for the bridal party. Soon after Tony Attile from Black Ink Photography arrived and started to click away. Bear in mind, it was still early in the morning and dark outside but Tony came in beaming and was full of positive energy for the day ahead.
Liz chose beautiful antique gold sequin dresses for her bridesmaids which were the perfect choice for New Year's Eve. The bridesmaids looked very glamourous in their sparkling dresses accompanied by black fluffy fur stole's. However Liz stole the show when she walked down the stairs wearing her ivory wedding dress by Pronovias with twinkling lace bolero over the top. Liz looked picture perfect and this is captured in the photographs by Tony. Liz married in a local church in Brent, London before moving onto her regal venue, Hendon Hall to continue the celebrations.
I very much enjoyed my morning making up the whole bridal party, the bridesmaids opted for an Adele inspired eye with false lashes. Liz's sister showed me a picture from Pinterest of an eye look they were after. This is always a good way to explain to your makeup artist on the look you are after. Liz went for glamour with flawless skin with a hint of highlighting on the tops of the cheekbones. Liz's lips were a creamy berry coloured lipstick by Gerard Cosmetics in Rodeo Drive (you can purchase this from Beauty Bay) and as it was New Year's Eve we went for a silver sparkly eyes using the Charlotte Tilbury Rock Chic Luxury Palette. I have selected some photos to show below, the rest will be in my Wedding Photography Album.
