Wedding Makeup Trial to the Big Day

I wanted to show you some makeup photographs that I have taken during a wedding makeup trial session and then show you the professional photographs taken on the brides wedding day.

In January 2017, I had a trial booked in with a 'bride to be' who then went on to get married in May 2017. For all makeup trials I take before and after photographs with my digital camera. I like to show brides to be; what can be achieved; that makeup even though it may seem like I am applying a lot, is blended to perfection to create a flawless look;  how the makeup looks from the lens of a digital camera.

I like to be honest in my services and show what I can do. I like using a camera rather than a phone to take photographs, a camera is able to show clearly the makeup. I use a portrait lens to take the photographs with, this type of lens offers superior image quality to a zoom lens and a phone. The lens blurs out the background so the focus is purely on the subject. The images taken are clean, in focus and show 'everything'.

The 'bride to be' wanted soft smokey grey eyes with a subtle smoked out wing with fluffy natural looking false eyelashes. Coverage was wanted for her skin with a slight glow and without looking cakey. The bride wanted a subtle blush with light pink glossy lips.

On the day the bride wore a Stella York dress, in style 6220 from Brides to Be in Reading, Berkshire. The dress is a fit-and-flare strapless design made from gorgeous lace overlay on rich satin. The dress features hand-sewn diamante embellishments throughout, particularly concentrated in a flattering illusion V on the sweet heart neckline.

The bride and groom decided to take their vows and have their ceremony at Highfield Park a Georgian house in Heckfield, Hampshire. The house offers accommodation and space for the reception. The brides hair was styled by Joanne at Gilded Hair in Wokingham and the wedding photography was taken by Finn of Finn P Photography
