On Saturday Tiffany and I had great fun making over two beautiful models. Tiffany and I have worked together on many weddings and makeovers, however we wanted to do a shoot ourselves. Our models Jay and Zenna absolutely loved the shoot; Zenna loved the makeup so much that she has since asked me to do her makeup for her upcoming wedding……in Tuscany!
In the shoot, I created a grey smokey cat eye with feline flicks on Zenna. I also contoured her face bringing out those gorgeous cheekbones. On Jay, I created a mauve metallic eye, glowing flawless skin with a pretty pink lip. Before I started the makeup, Zenna said she couldn’t really pull off dark eye makeup, however I showed her that she could and the results I think speak for themselves.
Tiffany created two different hair looks; on Zenna, Tiffany wanted to show off Zenna’s slim neck but wanted a softer hair so not to elongate the neck too much. The look was very elegant with hints of a Grecian goddess; a perfect style for a summer wedding.
Jay wore a hairstyle worn by Kate Beckinsale at the Golden Globe Awards. Tiffany looked at the picture for literally a moment and created the exact look of the hairstyle. Being able to do this is a skill and very helpful when potential customers and soon to be brides bring pictures of the hairstyles they want for their event from magazine clippings or a Pinterest board to the hair and makeup trial
Within the photos you will notice hair pieces and jeweled slides. I have been making hair pieces for a while and it was great to finally use some of my creations in the photoshoot. If you like the hair pieces or would like a bespoke slide made, please contact me.
The photography was done by myself and I am not a professional. All I used was my camera and the two white lights I previously blogged about. If we can make the hair and makeup look like this at an amateur level, imagine how you would look under a lens of a professional photographer.
