A makeup trial is important to have before your wedding; essentially you are leaving me in charge of your face for a very important day. You have to be able to trust your makeup artist and be able to express any concerns and ideas you may have. I want to meet my brides and build a rapport, especially if you are having any skin dilemmas; I want to be able to help you before you say ‘I do’.
A trial is essentially a practice session where we discuss any concerns you have, look over different looks you are considering and review the running order of the day. I will be able to assess your skin, face and eye shape and give you skincare advice to help prep your skin in advance of your wedding. At the end of the trial, you will know that you’ll be in safe hands and have one less thing to worry about.
Whether you know exactly what you want or have no idea at all, I will not rush the trial and will take my time to go through various different options with you until we find the best one for you and a look that you are completely happy with.
A trial would typically take place 6 to 10 weeks before the wedding day, but I understand brides to be are very busy people and time is precious – especially with all the event planning – so if you want the trial well in advance of your big day, I am happy to do this.
